I was reading about Tsongkhapa the other day and how he reformed Buddhism in Tibet. Some think that he was an incarnation of Shakyamumi Buddha. Who knows. He set up a monastery in Ganden as the basis for his teaching. I like the idea of training schools for enlightenment. And I like the idea that enlightenment is a scientific process, to Dolano’s point, or at least as a methodology.

So why isn’t enlightenment part of our educational training? One would think it should be. I guess one of the answers is that enlightenment doesn’t serve consumerism. We want well adjusted consumers, not free radicals. That’s one answer, I suppose.
