Barley Casserole
Wash and strain barley. Bring barley to the boil with the water and salt and simmer 30-40 minutes, removing any foam that may bubble up. Add the chunky root vegetables and simmer another 15-20 minutes. Season to taste with tamari and sesame oil. Garnish with fresh herbs and sesame seeds.
