Tomato and Brown Lentil Soup
  1. Finely chop onion. Rinse lentils. Drain well.
  2. Heat oil. Add onions and garlic. Stir over low heat for 10 mins.
  3. Add tomato paste, chillies, bay leaf, lentils, water; bring to boil. Simmer 30 minutes or lentils soft.
  4. Remove chillies, bay leaf and discard. Add salt and pepper to taste.
