This kind of binaural beat meditation tape was the first time I was actually able to get meditation to work. Before that, I never could quiet my racing mind.

I used audio files from Kelly Howell, but there are lots of similar things out there. For some people, including me, this kind of thing is a real lifesaver.

Today I really don't need these tapes in order to meditate well, but if you have any friends who have tried to meditate but couldn't do it for some reason, have them try something like this.

words have different impacts over the time.

enlightenment is the goal. meditation or mindfulness (in buddhist related spirituality) is the path.
anyway, in the last 10 years, the word enlightenment has become preaty trendy. and it`s used also in some not very spiritual domains.
i believe the spirituality seekers know what to seek.

as more words of spiritual meaning are used to guide to unspiritual targets, as more some words will go down "unexpectedly" on stats.

Yes, thought pushed it higher and up to 50% to be precise, but it was an interesting experiment nevertheless.

When I learned taijiquan I used to practise it in my head on the bus. It was an hours drive so a good length to practise. I'm not sure I'd go so far to say that it was as good as doing it physically, but I think it did speed up learning the form.

Interesting. So the 50% I assume means your pulse was 50% less as you were meditating and thought pushed it 50% higher? Or, is that my assumption. I have heard before that mindful exercise is so much better for one physiologically and of course there are studies about people who don't actually do the exercise but are with it totally in their imaginations and that does as much "good" as doing it physically.

I'm really interested in this but would like a little more detail.

I was wondering through the internet looking for other bloggers... Funny I stumble apon your's by chance again.
I was thinking about when I am practicing detachment, and I am faced with a box of chocolates, do I take a chocolate, or don't I?

I agree with the first paragraph, for it was under your influence I sought to attain an enlightened state of being. And another movie which is quite interesting and possibly inspirational is called (I'm pretty sure) 'Enlightenment Guaranteed' which is two Germans who go to Japan seeking enlightenment. If anything it is funny. Good boy, well done for doing some good thing for the continuingly in-need-of-help-place that is Auckland.
Love you muchly.
